An energy storage tank is a below ground or sectional overground water tank that stores economical nighttime energy in the form of heat for use in the daytime, when demand is highest. It lowers the unit cost of energy consumed and greatly reduces electricity bills. Furthermore, the device allows the use of heating and cooling source units with smaller capacities.
The storage tank supplies chilled water at a stable temperature. Another advantage is that it can be connected to emergency power sources, allowing operations to continue even in the event of an emergency such as a power outage. For these reasons, the storage tank is ideal for locations such as cleanrooms in electrical, electronics and precision machinery production facilities, which must maintain precise temperatures and cannot stop production lines. |
